In early October 2020, Komatsu Mining's P&H 2300XPC electric shovel was delivered to Pavlik GOK, Russia's main gold mine in Tenkinsky District, Magadan Region, Far East. The excavator will be used for stripping operations. By December 2020, the assembly and preparation of the excavator took less than two months.

Pavlik GOK stated that this model was selected as one of the most reliable and high-performance models. The total weight of the machine is 775 tons and the daily output is 9,486 cubic meters. The electric shovel is capable of loading more than 6 million cubic meters of rock mass each year, with a bucket volume of 25 cubic meters. It is loading a new fleet of 191-ton Caterpillar 789D dump trucks at the mine.

Pavlik GOK is upgrading its fleet to a larger equipment scale as it plans to triple its ore processing capacity and its annual output of at least 12 tons of gold. As part of the second phase of commissioning for mining companies, plans are to increase the capacity of open-pit mines and gold processing plants, and to build a new substation.

The construction of the Pavlik mining processing plant began in 2012. At the end of 2014, open pit mining began. In August 2015, the first phase of the company was officially launched. The commissioning work was completed in January 2016. At the beginning of 2017, the plant reached the designed annual processing capacity of 5 Mt/y of ore and produced 6.5 t/y of gold. 6.7 tons of gold were produced in 2019.
