Olivia Newton-John has died. Olivia died peacefully Monday morning at her ranch in Southern California, her husband. She was surrounded by family and friends. The Grease star battled breast cancer for more than 30 years, A rep told TMZ, “After a 30-year cancer journey, she lost her battle to breast cancer.” Her big break came in 1978 in Grease. Her role as Sandy was iconic, as were several songs from the movie…like…. “You’re the One that I Want,”. Olivia’s biggest hit was “Physical” in 1981, which stayed at #1 for 10 weeks, breaking all records in the ’80’s. Oliva was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, but it went into remission and it came back in 2013.  It went back into remission but surfaced again in 2017. She was 73.

New details are coming out about Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian’s breakup. Pete reportedly proposed to Kim prior to their breakup. One source said: “Everything was just moving too fast. Kim wanted to slow things down and instead, Pete proposed. He is devastated. Everyone warned him that he was going to push her away, but he didn’t listen. Remember, this is the same guy that proposed to Ariana Grande after just a few weeks. Pete learned nothing from that relationship. He falls hard and he falls fast,” the source added. Now…this is just what we are hearing…sources close to both Davidson and Kardashian tell them that no proposal ever took place.

Ashton Kutcher is all right now, but two years ago, he was in rough shape.  On last night’s episode of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls”, Ashton revealed that he’s lucky to be alive, after battling a rare autoimmune disorder. Quote, “I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis that, like, knocked out my vision, it knocked out my hearing, it knocked out, like, all my equilibrium.  It took me, like, a year to build it all back up.” He added, quote, “You don’t really appreciate it until it’s gone.  Until you go, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again.'”

Anne Heche is fighting for her life, currently in a coma, and dealing with significant injuries in the wake of driving her car through a home in Los Angeles. A rep said: “At this time Anne is in extreme critical condition she has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.” It’s believed that Anne Heche was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol when she committed at least 2 hit-and-runs before barreling through a home, igniting a massive blaze. The LAPD has confirmed that Anne is being investigated for misdemeanor DUI and hit and run.

Daredevil star Rosario Dawson was wrong about Marvel Studios’ reboot of The Punisher (LINK). Following a panel appearance at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo where Dawson seemingly confirmed that The Punisher was “happening again” with Jon Bernthal reprising his role as Frank Castle, the actor has since explained that she was incorrect. “I can’t be trusted…!” tweeted Dawson. “Getting intel from fans during signings is iffy apparently. My bad. I get excited. Confirmation is key when you’re told what you want to hear…” Neither Marvel Studios nor Disney ever publically addressed Dawson’s statements.

Brad Pitt is on top of the box office again. His new movie Bullet Train pulled in $30.1 million domestically for its debut weekend.  Some experts say the film’s take was disappointing, considering Bullet Train reportedly cost $90 million to make. DC League of Super-Pets, Nope, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Minions: Rise of Gru round out your weekend top five.

A live-action film is in development based on the classic arcade game with an endless appetite, Pac-Man. The project hails from Bandai Namco Entertainment — the company behind Pac-Man, as well as games like Galaga and Tekken — and Wayfarer Studios. First introduced in the U.S. in 1980 — and originally called Puck Man in Japan — Pac-Man became a coin-operated staple. The game is set in mazes where Pac-Man has to eat pellets while being pursued by colorful ghosts as the mazes get progressively more difficult. The project will be based on an original idea from Chuck Williams (Sonic the Hedgehog) of Lightbeam Entertainment.

Well, here’s one thing House of the Dragon has in common with the original Game of Thrones: apparently, a ton of sex. Actor Matt Smith, who stars as Prince Daemon Targaryen in the HBO prequel, say he thinks there’s “slightly too much” of it all. When asked about all the sex scenes he says: “Are you representing the books, or are you diluting the books to represent the time [we’re living in]?’ And I actually think it’s your job to represent the books truthfully and honestly, as they were written.” When asked if he has his fair share of bedroom scenes, he replied, “Yeah — slightly too much, if you ask me.” The actor has said that, unlike some of his costars, he had watched the original Game of Thrones. So if he feels there’s too much sex, then maybe there is.

As you’ve probably heard, Norman Reedus is getting his own “Walking Dead” spin-off.  And apparently, by the time we reconnect with Daryl, trans-Atlantic flights will have been restored . . . because it takes place in France.  One of the “Walking Dead” bosses over at AMC says, quote, “Daryl is a fish out of water to start with.  If Daryl finds himself with new people, he’s a fish out of water. In France, in a country that’s going through the apocalypse, [it’s] an entirely different thing.  He finds himself having to reinvent himself again, having to find himself again.”

Monday is the series finale of “Better Call Saul” and since Saul spent some time behind the counter of Cinnabon, they are offering a free Center of the Roll with the purchase of a Center of the Roll.  To get the buy one get one free offer, use their app, with the code CALLSAUL. Saul mentioned Cinnabon back in the “Breaking Bad” days.  Here’s that scene.

We have all seen and watched the Bam Margera recovery disaster.  He was kicked out of the Jackass movie, he was in rehab, escaped, went back, escaped again, partied, went back, and now…we get an update from the family.  The Jackass star had been placed into a conservatorship, which led to “Free Bam” messaging out of concern that he was being ordered to do things against his will. The Margera family addressed the “Free Bam” movement in a new posting to social media. They revealed, “Bam is currently in treatment and we are helping him with his social media while he focuses on his recovery. We are his family who love and communicate with him to collaborate on his content and updates. With much appreciation, we thank his former healthcare guardian, @limafromaura, for all she contributed. Thank you to everyone for your support during this wild ride. With Heart – The Margera Family.”

Garth Brooks is calling out Ticketmaster and the company’s use of dynamic pricing. Brooks suggested the ticketing giant get rid of ticket scalping instead. He had this to say about it, “That’s a tough one. Bruce Springsteen is going through it right now. We’re all watching it. Here’s the bottom line for me, and I know this is silly, but I have screamed and screamed as long as you’ve known me: just knock out scalping. That’s it. Just make it illegal. That way, the price of the ticket is the price of the ticket,” he continued. Garth Brooks wrapped up the US portion of his Stadium Tour this weekend in Houston and he’s looking to do more Vegas Residency.

Hey guys – let’s all hop in the time machine and transport back to 2005.  Britney Spears and Kevin Federline seemed to have a pretty civil co-parenting thing going for years now . . . but it just came to a screeching halt. In a new interview, K-Fed says that their sons, 16-year-old Preston and 15-year-old Jayden, have been avoiding her for months due to the ongoing media circus surrounding her. He also claims they’re upset about an Instagram post last April where she dissed him.  All the NUDES she’s been posting haven’t helped the situation, either. And this is why they chose not to go to her wedding. Britney says she’s SADDENED to hear that Kevin is discussing her relationship with the boys. But her husband Sam leaned in even harder on K-Fed.  He noted that Kevin’s “gravy train” will be ending soon, because the boys will be 18 and he won’t get child support anymore. He added, quote, “The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the ‘tough’ part was having a father who hasn’t worked much in over 15 years as a role model.”

Apparently, it’s all about the he said she said “I Do” … because Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst has gotten married for the 4th time. Their marriage record says Fred and wife Arles Durst got married in L.A. County … however, the date they tied the knot is unclear. The actual marriage certificate is confidential … that’s a thing in L.A., especially for celebs, but the County Clerk makes public the fact a confidential marriage certificate has been filed. The two have been an item for at least a few months … his band did a show in Pennsylvania back in May, and he brought her out to slow dance together to “Careless Whisper” … before jumping into their hit, “Nookie.” Arles has also changed her last name on Instagram to Durst — she’s got a profile description that reads, “Mrs. D.” Fred’s 3rd divorce was finalized (LINK) back in 2019 from a Ukrainian make-up artist . The guy walked away with all his rights and residuals to his music secured, while having to pay off her car and ante up spousal support. Before her, Fred was married to a lovely lady Esther for 3 months … before that, he was with a lady named Rachel, with whom he has a daughter. 4th time’s the charm!

Beyoncé and Madonna have never done a song together . . . until now.  Beyoncé released a new version of “Break My Soul” called “The Queens Remix”, and it combines the original with Madonna’s 1990 hit “Vogue”. One thing it changes about “Vogue” is the list of classic Hollywood starlets.  Instead, it pays tribute to famous female music artists like Lauryn Hill, Janet Jackson, Lizzo, Grace Jones, Nina Simone, Solange, Erykah Badu, and Madonna . . . among others.

Speaking of the queen — The question wasn’t if Beyoncé’s Renaissance album would be number one but how much the project would sell in its first week.  We have our answer.  Renaissance topped the Billboard 200 album chart moving 332,000 equivalent units.     Beyoncé’s work is the first album released by a woman in 2022 to hit number one. The last female at the top was Adele with her 30 album.  Queen Bey becomes the first female artist in HISTORY to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with each of her first seven studio albums.

Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” and “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush gained new life after being used in Season 4 of “Stranger Things”.

Here’s a list of other rock songs that got a renewed popularity boost from being in a movie or TV show:

Major League Baseball is headed for London for the first time since 2019. The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs will play a two-game series on June 24th and 25th, 2023. The two teams were set to play in London in 2020, but the pandemic canceled the games. The last time MLB played in London in 2019, the New York Yankees swept two games against the Boston Red Sox.

Cardinals VS Rockies tonight at Coors Field Starts at 7:40

Matt Carpenter has been one of the best comeback stories of the MLB season with the New York Yankees (LINK) this year, but now his season may be over because of an injury. Carpenter fouled a pitch off his left foot during Monday’s series opener with the Seattle Mariners (GameTracker) and suffered a fracture, the team announced.

The Yankees have not yet announced a timetable for Carpenter’s return but other players have missed 6-8 weeks with similar injuries. Remember Carpenter who is 36, took a .307/.414/.732 batting line with 15 home runs in 46 games into Monday’s game. He hit .176/.313/.291 with the Cardinals from 2020-21, but remade his swing over the winter as we know. So bummer about the foot (LINK)

The dispute over the present and future of global professional golf reaches the inside of an American courtroom for the first time Tuesday as three banned golfers seek emergency judicial help with getting a tee time into the PGA Tour’s lucrative playoff bonanza (LINK). Controversy over the new Saudi-backed LIV Tour (LINK) has consumed the highest levels of the sport in recent months. A ruling in favor of the PGA Tour or its rebellious players who’ve joined the LIV circuit will have an immediate impact on what’s likely to prove to be many years of contentious litigation. The main lawsuit filed by 11 golfers, including Hall of Famer Phil Mickelson, drew international attention when it surfaced last week. They alleged the PGA Tour violates antitrust laws by prohibiting its members from realizing playing opportunities beyond the umbrella of the Florida-based organization that’s been the dominant force in professional golf for decades.

The Carolina Panthers (LINK) are giving their top two quarterbacks ample time to win the starting job. Head coach Matt Rhule told reporters after the Panthers’ scrimmage Saturday that a decision between Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield (LINK) won’t come until at least after they play two preseason games. The Panthers play New England Aug. 19. Rhule said with the team off Sunday, coaches are going to “really dig into the tape and see who’s truly mastering the offense and who’s not” (LINK)

Richard Seymour was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, putting a cap on a stellar NFL career that saw him play for the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders. Seymour was the No. 6 overall pick of New England in 2001. He turned into a three-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler during his career. He was on three Super Bowl-winning teams with the Patriots, finishing with 57.5 sacks and 498 total tackles. In his speech, Seymour thanked New England team owner Robert Kraft and longtime NFL head coach Bill Belichick. He poked a little fun at Tom Brady – who was selected a year before him. “We had a young quarterback, but we made it work,” Seymour said. Despite the accolades and achievements, he said he was coached up never to look at stats. “We’d have a saying with the Patriots that stats can be for losers,” the former defensive lineman said. “I was asked to do selfless things.” Seymour said he believed the first three Super Bowls of the Patriots’ dynasty were defensive-led teams. Seymour was a rookie in 2001 when the team won their first title. Seymour would step up and come into his own by 2003 and 2004. He said “Those first three Super Bowls, they were all defensive-led teams. I think for us, the shift really started to happen right after that. And that’s when Brady really became Brady. And then it really just took off. Offense sells, so I totally get it. But those early teams were led by the defense.”
