Diggers parted ways in Dickinson-Butte Sports

Dickinson, North Carolina-Montana Tech and Dickinson State University played a non-conference basketball doubles match on Saturday.

Before Orediggers won the men's game 71-64 in overtime (statistics), the Blue Eagles defeated Tech in the women's game 80-73 (statistics).

Derrius Collins scored 15 points to lead the four Orediggers by double digits, as the Tech Men won the third consecutive game to raise the score to 10-3.

Caleb Bellach had 13 points, Sindou Diallo had 11 points, and Drew Huse had 10 points.

Keeley Bake added 9 points for Tech, including Cody Baumstarck with 5 points and 10 rebounds, Bridger Larson with 4 points, Camdyn LaRance and Michael Ure each with 2 points.

Aushanti Potts-Woods scored 11 points off the bench to lead the Blue Eagles. Bryce Knox scored 17 points.

Courtney Olsen led the Dickinson women's team with 23 points. Ashley Watts and Shali Sheridan each scored 10 points.

Tavia Rooney led Orediggers with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Soda rice also scored 12 points, while Chelestina Faletoi and Jaden Comings each scored 10 points.

Tech also got 9 points and 8 rebounds from Aubrie Rademacher. Maddison Allen got 7 points, Ally Clevery got 6 points, Mollie Peoples and McKayla Kloker each got 4 points.

Tech Women’s next game is the Cactus Classic in Arizona from December 20th to 22nd. The technicians will face the University of Ottawa in Surprise, Arizona on Wednesday.
