Fire officials said that on Tuesday, an excavator hit an overhead power line in Boston and pulled down a pole, trapping workers inside.

This worker was operating an excavator in the 12 Ericsson Street area of Dorchester. At that time, the excavator came into contact with electrical wires, causing the utility poles to collapse.

The live video showed a telephone pole and live wires leaning against the top of the excavator. The worker still inside does not appear to be injured.

Eversource was called to the area to turn off the power so that the workers could leave the excavator.
